I’ve been thinking a lot about the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. The cost He paid so that we can have relationship with God, our Father. This leads me to think about the choices I make. Whether those choices are worthy of the sacrifice Jesus made for me. While salvation is a gift, it’s one that comes with responsibility. We are to live like Christ by Faith empowered by God’s Spirit and His grace. We are required to carry our cross and follow Him. If all we can say is ” yes Jesus died for me, so I’m all good” I think we miss the significance of Jesus’s life, death and resurrection. We have to believe that He didn’t only come to die but to live. To show us that we too can live in God, that God wants to make His home within us. He (Jesus) showed us what it meant to be ” a Son that pleases His Father”. My brothers and sisters we have a responsibility to lay down all lesser things for greater gain. To lay down our life so that we will truly live. May we never diminish the work on the cross by the way we choose to live or negate the life of Jesus by not imitating Him.

We weren’t called to be perfect, we were called to be dependent upon our Father. In everything God has asked of us, He has given us the provision. He is the provision! I pray we self- examine our response to God’s love for us. Not for the sake of perfection but for the sake of intimacy!

Here is a song that reminds us of all that Jesus did for us! Reminding us that we have life only because of His exchange!

With love through Christ, Nadesha

“Divine Exchange” written by Charity Gayle

On the cross hung my pain
And the guilt and the shame
Jesus bore my suffering
To the grave to make me free
Oh the blood that was shed
It now flows to cover sin
It washes, clean, and purifies
In its healing crimson tide
Jesus, He took my place in divine exchange
Hallelujah! Grace is mine.
Now I live by faith for the One who saves
He gave all to give me life
His spirit is my present help
I’d be lost all by myself
He resurrects He sanctifies
He take His power and makes it mine
Jesus, He took my place in divine exchange
Hallelujah! Grace is mine.
Now I live by faith for the One who saves
He gave all to give me life
I lay down all lesser things for greater gain
He is alive inside of me
I laydown all lesser things for greater gain
He is alive inside of me
I lay down all lesser things for greater gain
He is alive Oh
Jesus, He took my place in divine exchange
Hallelujah! Grace is mine.
Now I live by faith for the One who saves
He gave all to give me life
