Who is able to advise the Spirit of the Lord? Who knows enough to give Him advice or teach Him? Has the Lord ever needed anyone's advice? Does He need instruction about what is good? Did someone teach Him what is right or show him the path of justice? Isaiah 40:13-14 NLT How can our human minds comprehend an incomprehensible God? How can our low stature understand the power that lies in the hand of the creator of Heaven and Earth? We have gotten to the place where we have made our experiences and knowledge our idol. We put so much emphasis on what we think we know and what we’ve experienced that we fail to see God; We fail to see the ways of God in the midst of everything. We take the place of God in our own lives by thinking that we know what is “good”. We try to give God our wants instead of humbly surrendering to His will. I think about Jesus– fully God yet fully man– but He did not esteem Himself to be equal to God but became a servant(Phil 2:6) . He became of no reputation so that He could do what was and still is good– Die for us. Not even His disciples understood what Jesus had to do. He even told them a number of times what the Son of Man had to endure. Peter rebuked Jesus for speaking about His own death to come. Peter didn’t understand that in order to save one’s life you must lose it. Peter could and did not see that the death of Jesus was and will always be a good thing! Jesus rebuked Peter instructing him to be careful about being focused on the things of man instead of the things of God. Goodness is based on what God considers it to be. What is good is not dependent on how good it feels but upon the development of God’s nature in us. As human beings, we live in a now perception. We cannot see pass what’s infront of us. We should leave the advice to God and put our trust and faith in Him who sees beyond our now. God who molded us in our mother’s womb. The one who understands the incomprehensible. We become so earthly minded and driven that we think we know what is best. We speak about everything instead of praying about everything. We allow the current tide of society to dictate how we live our lives. We allow the strains in the world to dictate how we love God and people. We have become so involved naturally that God can’t use us spiritually. We equate discomfort with the devil as if God doesn’t use the valley to make the greatest disciple. 'O Jacob, how can you say the Lord does not see your troubles? O Israel, how can you say God ignores your rights? But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.' Isaiah 40:27,31 NLT After thought: I wrote those words in 2017. In a time where things were happening that did not feel good. I felt like God was ripping the ground from beneath me. But God was dealing with my heart. Showing me that my eyes needed to turn from the world and its circumstances to Him. Many of us are feeling like God does not see our troubles. That our rights are ignored. The Lord sees our troubles. The Lord is aware of the pains and groaning in the earth right now. Just like He was fully aware of the troubles of the children of Israel. But every trouble and groaning came with a greater purpose. Trust in the Lord, He will renew your strength. I want to encourage and challenge us to employ this practice– Fixing our eyes on Jesus. Fix our eyes on the cross which is the receipt for the price that was paid for our liberty. This is a reminder that creates an awareness that will help us when we are tempted to lay down those liberties and pick up what this world has to offer. Jesus, is an invitation for us to partake in God’s fullness. For us to be one with Him. We can’t be one with God if we are still holding on to the world or the world is still holding on to us. The world has tenticles that are reaching out to grab each of us. I pray that we will walk in the liberty and freedom that we have been given. Prying the enticing grip of the world from our souls. Jesus said that in this world we will have tribulations. We’ve seen this to stand true throughout history. But He said He has already overcome this world. When we are hidden in Christ Jesus, dead to sin but alive in Him, we too can walk in this victory. But we can’t be conquerors with Chirst if the world has already conquered us. Fix your eyes on Jesus, whatever that means for you. Seek His face, seek His wisdom, Seek His heart. There are a lot of questions, answers, hypothesis ,and concerns and those will remain, but dear child let’s fix our eyes on Jesus. Let’s fix our eyes on the one who knows all and who does everything perfect.

This morning I woke up to the boisterous winds whistling that shook the trees throughout the city. Unsure of what was happening I went to the weather channel app on my phone. I saw that numerous cities experienced tornadoes. Lives were lost and properties were destroyed. I just felt an aching inside. As if my heart felt what my mind spoke “ this too Lord”. I cannot even imagine what it must be like to contend with Corona virus and loosing your home— the one place where according to words of the social climate “ is safe”. The place where you are suppose to shut in. All morning, I can’t lie I felt the burden. I joined my church with worship and prayer via live stream and decided I wasn’t going to let this weigh me down. But I still felt the heaviness. As I sat to write a prayer in my journal. I thought about a scripture, that says “ God is still seated on His Throne”. So I turned to Psalms 3, only after reading I realized that’s not where the verse is found! But the Holy Spirit reveals to us the HEART OF GOD! As I sat and read Psalm 3 I understood what the Lord wanted me to know!! I’ll share Psalm 3 with you family! “Lord, I have so many enemies, so many who are against me. Listen to how they whisper their slander against me, saying: “Look! He’s hopeless! Even God can’t save him from this!” Pause in his presence But in the depths of my heart I truly know that you, Yahweh, have become my Shield; You take me and surround me with yourself. Your glory covers me continually. You lift high my head when I bow low in shame. I have cried out to you, Yahweh, from your holy presence. You send me a Father’s help. Pause in his presence So now I’ll lie down and sleep like a baby— then I’ll awake in safety, for you surround me with your glory. Even though dark powers prowl around me, I won’t be afraid. I simply cry out to you: “Rise up and help me, Lord! Come and save me!” And you will slap them in the face, breaking the power of their words to harm me. My true hero comes to my rescue, for the Lord alone is my Savior. What a feast of favor and bliss he gives his people! Pause in his presence”‭‭Psalms‬ ‭3:1-8‬ ‭TPT‬‬ What a feast and favor and bliss He gives His people!!! God promises to come to our rescue. He promises to help us!!! I’m not looking to our government, scientist or leading thinkers to solve the problems around the world. I put my trust in Jesus! I put my trust in God, because I know those who trust Him will not be disappointed. Yes darkness has gloomed itself over the earth, but I wait because I know His light will break forth ! I know that His light is shining . I know that when I call on Him He shines His light in the midst of the darkness and gives me clarity. A clear vision to see and clear understanding to know what to do and how to pray. Dig deep to search and find the truth that GOD HAS ALWAYS BEEN WITH US. In the midst of every historical crisis, He has and will continue to be with us. Let that be our comfort as we continue to persevere through. Wherever you are personally, God is with you. When you trust In Him, He becomes a shield round about you. He takes Who He is and wraps Himself around you. As the Holy Spirit said to me this morning, I’ll say it to you my friends “ God is still on the throne”. I’m praying that WE rest in the arms of our God. That we find comfort in Him who loves us so much that the history of humanity is His love story to Us! How He continually chooses us when we wanted nothing to do with Him. God ,who saw that some of us would reject His Son still sent Him to die for us anyways. I pray that we dig deeper in our relationship with God. That we take this time not to look to the mountain or flee for our own safety but that we look to Jesus, the only way to God! “Yet the Eternal One is never shaken — he is still found in his temple of holiness, reigning as Lord and King over all. He is closely watching everything that happens. And with a glance, his eyes examine every heart. For his heavenly rule will prevail over all.”‭‭Psalms‬ ‭11:4‬ ‭TPT‬‬ I genuinely love y’all, please if you have any specific prayer requests email me ( bloominjourney@gmail.com) or comment below!! Praying for us all!

Good morning everyone!! I hope that in the midst of the chaos and pain in the earth you are well. This is not a post based off of anxiety or fear but one that is needed especially in the time we are living in! When I think about that the Lord wanted to me change the direction of the blog and focus it on Jesus, I understand why. I asked the Lord, what can I do to help people. What part can I play in telling people about Jesus, who is the only solution to the problems in the world. I realize that many people are in panic over this virus pandemic but the truth is this world has been infected with the virus of sin long ago. The Bible tells us that the wages of sin is death. This means that a person who continues to lives in sin will die and live in hell for eternity. But Jesus Christ, came to earth to be the cure to human’s sin virus. Through the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus we have an opportunity to have life eternal and power over sin. God loved us so much that He sent His only Son for our salvation! Jesus loves us so much that He bore the cross and the suffering. That’s the gift that is awaiting you! Salvation, love, power, freedom, guidance and peace from the creator of the world! In Jesus, we have peace that even when all hell is breaking out around us, we can rest in His truth that He has already overcome the world( John 16:33). We can trust that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. We can believe that He will preserve us and give us the strength to endure whatever we face in this world. If you do not know Jesus as the Lord of you’re life, watch this simple video. That was created by two of my beautiful friends as they were led by the Lord. Follow the instructions. The Lord is calling us closer to Him. If you knew the Lord before and have walked away from Him—REPENT and RETURN. This is a time of introspection. A time to fix our eyes on what will stand and remain when the world passes-away. It’s time for us to make a decision of who we will serve. If there is anyone who would like me to pray for you: you can send me an email(bloominjourney@gmail.com) and we can do a zoom meeting and just pray together or you can email me your name and request, or put it in the comment section or send me your request and I will send you back a video/ voice note praying for your specific request. This is me totally stepping out of my comfort zone, but I’m tired of being comfortable. The world needs Jesus, and I have to repent that it took me this long to do this. Share this with anyone who needs prayer, please! Love you all with the Love of Christ

Hello everyone!!!!! I greet everyone in the name of Jesus. Who is our peace in the midst of every storm and every situation. I know the world is going crazy right now. So much desperation, lack of hope, fear and anxiety. I pray that you will experience a peace like you have never experienced before. This peace that comes from Jesus. I pray that if you do not know Him that you will know that He loves you, chose you and desires that you will live your life for and through Him. My husband started a challenge on Instagram and because I don’t use Instagram I would like to do it one here. The premises is if you see a scripture you read a scripture. So I will share a scripture on here and feel feee to join in the comment section or on your blog. Right now there is so much information about the virus, so many strategies, so much news but all of this will fade but you know what won’t— God’s word! His word will not change. I am more interested in the word of God than the news from the various media outlets! so here it goes! “The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; The LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.”‭‭Psalms‬ ‭29:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Lord, thank you that regardless of the circumstances in this earth it cannot and will not shut out your voice! You are and will forever be in control! You reign over everything! Shake the earth Lord with your voice!!!!! In the mighty name of Jesus Amen!
God’s love for us did not begin when we were born. But prior to birth God loves us. In the womb He sees us and we become the apple of His eye. At this point of our life we have done nothing to deserve His love but He chooses to put His love upon us. A love that can never end because it is eternal. When we are born we enter into the world sinful because that is human’s nature. God still loves us and He spends the rest of our lives drawing us to Himself. He desires to restore us back into relationship with Him. The relationship that was broken because of our sinful nature. If you don’t know the story of Adam and Eve, it’s a story of a couple that was given the world and God’s love but still chose to do what they thought was right. This is or was the story for many of us. We live or have lived our lives with no concern about what God said but to please ourselves . But His message never changed “ I have loved you with an everlasting love”. The purpose of the love of God is to draw us to Himself. Not for us to say “ God I know you love me but I’ll stay on my side and you stay over there”. He wants us to know Him as Father, King, Savior, Lord, Comforter and Healer amongst other things. God’s so loving that He sent Jesus His Son- The Father’s love personified-that we would have an example, and also as an atonement for our sins. Jesus lived a sinless life, He was crucified and resurrected. His life is an example to us that when we focus on God the Father’s will and pursue to bring glory to God we can overcome the trials of this world. His crucifixion that happened years ago was the final act to restore the relationship between God and man. All we have to do is accept His sacrifice and believe that He died for us. He took our sin on Himself and was crucified. He will not be crucified again because the work He did the first time was a complete work. It was, is and will be enough for our sins. It’s a gift given to us by our loving creator who desires that we become a part of His family so we can call Him Father! I don’t know about you but that is indeed the greatest love story of all time. God continues to chase after us, He woos us with kindness, grace and mercy. Not with the intentions of leaving or abandoning us but so that He can transform and empower us to fulfill the purpose we were created for. When we become a part of His family His grace covers us as we begin to walk in the footsteps of Jesus, learning to be more like Him in the way we act, think, and speak. The Holy Spirit counsels us to make decisions that are pleasing to God and will lead us on the plan that was written for us. If you feel like you might be someone that said “ God I know you love me but I’ll stay here and you there” or if you don’t know what it means that God loves you and want you to be Apart of His family and that you surrender your life to Him, making Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life then this is for you. He has more for you and He welcomes you to be near Him.

The Bible provides us with a lot of examples about human relationship, because let’s face it we NEED PEOPLE. I’ve heard my fellow believers say things and my response is “people are not dispensable”. We can’t just pick them up and throw them away when they are no longer “useful” to us. I am not saying that I haven’t made the mistake of thinking people are dispensable but I know better now. The Holy Spirit continues to show me that even people that are difficult to love are purposed in our lives. God in all of His magnificence does nothing by chance even the people we encounter. However, it is up to us to find out the purpose of these relationships If I was in the cave would I have listened to my friends and killed the man that was making my life a living hell? Honestly, I don’t know. But what I do know is that David understood something that I think some of us fail to see. David feared the Lord. He knew that Saul was chosen by God and He could not kill him. David’s friends wanted Saul dead because this would solve all of their problems. It was a quick fix but if he killed the king David could never profess his innocence. I think that the conviction David had in the cave was that he saw the bigger picture. This occurrence teaches me that even people who mean us harm are an opportunity for God to see our heart. David was a warrior who had killed thousands of people, this would have been an easy kill. But as he said “I will not harm the Lord’s anointed”. It was the Lord’s hand on Saul that saved his life. David reverenced the Lord to the point where he was willing to keep running for his life. I know that in today’s society the churchism of everyone can’t come to the next level with you isn’t about killing people. But the danger of this mindset is that people are quick to cut others off when they are no longer serving them. I do not think this is the example the Bible sets. We see the total opposite in the cave with David and Saul. Even after all Saul did to David, he still bowed before him and called him king. This was not lip service but great respect. Why? Because he had a revelation that God anointed Saul. God created each and every one of us in His image. When we see others as dispensable what revelation do we have of God? We know that sin has corrupted the human race but through Christ Jesus we all have the capacity to be like Him; through the Holy Spirit we have the counsel to love like Him. If David could love Saul, why can’t we love. I am not saying that we should remain in toxic relationships but I do believe that we can be refined through every experience. Jesus showed us that not even the man who would lead His accusers to Him is dispensable. He kept Judas with Him for three whole years. He was never treated or loved any differently. Why? God trusted His Father and He knew that even though satan would enter Judas, it wasn’t satan’s will that would be accomplished but God’s divine will. The same with Peter, the man who denied Jesus multiple times. It was this same man that was a great apostle after Jesus’ glorification. Love covers a multitude of sins. People may not be good to us but as Christians we should be good to them. The way we treat them is not because of how they treat us but because of who saved us. We are to show them the same underserved kindness that we receive! While I understand that people change and some relationships fall apart the bible tells us that in as much as we can control it we should live at peace with all men. If it’s in my power to keep peace, I should. People are not dispensable. We don’t have to worry about the “right” people being in our lives if we fully submit to God’s will and the path He has laid before us. Why? Because we will be positioned for Him to put them in our lives and for Him to remove those that aren’t supposed to be there. For example, the instigating friends with David in the cave were warriors but in that moment that’s not what David needed. But down the line David needed those same friends to fight by his side. David could have said, you friends cannot be in my next season with me I have to leave you behind. When the time came to fight David would have been alone. But David, feared the Lord and was instructed by the Lord. This allowed him to provide wise counsel to his friends. Let’s position ourselves in God’s will so that He can align us with the right people at the right seasons. Where He can connect us with people that will sharpen us, invoke us to love, stir up the gifts in us and help to refine us even if that person sees us as their enemy. I pray He opens our eyes to see that even those who are used by satan are in the hands of God to bring forth His glory in and through us. The miracle that happened in the Cave was that David loved God so much that He could not dishonor Him by harming someone He chose. God has chosen each of us, let us be careful of how we treat each other. And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.
I feel like a fish out of water….. Wait before I go there I have to greet everyone! I greet you all in the Mighty Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.. I am kidding but I am so serious! Hey y’all! It has been forever and I am horrible for it.. I’ve been absent from my blog but I’ve been present with the Lord. Lol…. But seriously I missed writing for the blog, I missed reading my the posts from my fellow bloggers. Okay now I can move on.. I feel like a fish out of water. If I can have one reason why I haven’t written its because I felt like there was nothing to say. But then I would be lying because God is always speaking, I guess fear stopped me from writing it. But I am back for real this time. I want to start by just sharing my heart for a second. Today, i received some news that kind of led me to a place where I was really discourgaged. Feeling like every time I stepped out in faith to do what the Lord has asked me to do there is such a strong resistance it’s like I want to quit…. Read carefully, I might want to quit but I’m not quitting. The greater the obedience the greater the resistance. The greater the obedience the greater the resistance.. Once more for the stubborn folks in the back like myself– The greater the obedience the greater the resistance. Like one of my besties told me the devil is not just going to let you do it… I have to fight through it. Literally, war through it. Warring through my own emotions, self-doubt, and uncertainty. Instead I must trust in God who is victorious in every battle, who is Mighty and has no doubt and God who is always certain. Everything He does is certain, He doesn’t make a decision and then changes His mind. He decides and Acts- Period. So what’s my issue? Why do I shrink in the midst of resistance? Can I be honest with you, maybe it’s just me…. But the potential impact of obedience scares me. Let me explain: When we obey God there is a responsibility on the individual and an enormous consequence that is manifested in the earth. As a result, I don’t want to fail. I want to do and be all God has asked and called me to be. That’s the part that scares me, the potential to fail…. which all boils down to fear. But who do I serve, fear or the only true and living God? That’s where the rubber meets the road for me.. Do I allow the fear of failing to stop me from being who God has called me to be? I will have to say no.. Fear is real but I don’t have to allow it to impact me. What the Lord asks of us is to be willing vessels. I’m learning that I have to take myself out of equation. Just be willing so that God can do the rest. God gives the instruction, we obey and He brings it to fruition. I’ve been learning how to REST for the past 3 years and I am still learning. In the time we are living in, resistance will be magnified internally and externally. I believe God will and has given us the strength to bear and endure everything that comes our way. If you are like me that might look like bawling your eyes out and screaming but you endure nonetheless. I will like to end by saying, God is the one who makes the promise. Therefore God is sure to keep it! ‘ Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed. Wait for and expect the Lord and keep and heed His way, and He will exalt you to inherit the land; [in the end] when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.’ Psalm 37:3,34 AMPC ‘ Do you not know that if you continually surrender yourselves to anyone to do his will, you are the slaves of him whom you obey, whether that be to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience which leads to righteousness (right doing and right standing with God)?’ Romans 6:16 AMPC

So what’s my issue? Why do I shrink in the midst of resistance?
He who cover his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. Proverbs 28:13 NLT He who covers his transgressions will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes his sins will obtain mercy. AMPC You can’t whitewash your sins and get by with it. You find mercy by admitting and leaving them. MSG In Proverbs 28 verse 13 we have a comparison of two different types of people. People who act differently, which leads to two different results. The fact is when we make various choices the results will vary. If we continue to do the same thing without heeding instruction or warning, no one can take us off the path of destruction except ourselves— by changing our choices. The writer of Proverbs 28, tells us about an individual who covers his transgression, this person will not prosper. Let’s give this person a random name, “Aee”. Aee covers her transgressions, she will not prosper. ( I really hope that Aee isn’t someone’s real name. I don’t want to make this type of declaration over anyone’s life). What exactly is Aee doing? In Hebrew the word covers is kasah, to conceal, to make passive, to cloth, and secrecy. Aee is hiding her transgression, not acknowledging the full weight of her actions or in-action. She is choosing to brush past her transgression as if it holds no consequence. Aee sees her transgression with a level of comfort because she uses it to cloth herself— to cover herself from everyone else. No one knows about it and because of that Aee never has to acknowledge that she’s living in a lifestyle of destruction. My mind immediately began to think about Adam and Eve. Before Adam and Eve sinned they were naked but unaware. When Adam and Eve sinned their eyes were open and they saw their nakedness. Immediately, they clothed themselves.. Remember, their entire time in the garden they were naked but it wasn’t until after they sinned they saw the need to “ cloth and cover” themselves. When God asked them where they were they said “I heard you walking and I was afraid because I was naked so I hid myself (Gen 3:7-11).” Before and Adam and Eve heard God walking, they used fig leaves to make aprons. Yet when they heard God they still hid. They told Him they hid because they were naked. But they weren’t naked because they had on the aprons they made… Adam and Eve tried within their own capacity to cover themselves but that’s the thing about sin… eventually it must come to light. We can only do so much. It is not hidden from God. Adam and Eve hid because they tried to conceal their sin… but the fact they knew they were naked could not be concealed. When we know we have sinned and we conceal it we are in doing the opposite of what God wants – nakedness, openness. We have another individual, “Si”. Si confesses and forsakes her transgression. Let’s look at what Si does. In Hebrew the word confesses is yada to throw out, cast, and shoot. The word forsakes is azab to loose, forsake, leave, leave safely, having nothing to do with, abandon, loosen, relinquish and refuse. Si is doing what is pleasing to the Lord. Si is not allowing her transgressions to keep her from God. Si’s response to sin is what God desires from us, His children. Si recognizes that her sins are not beneficial for her, she chooses to throw it out there. Si is airing it out or putting it in the open. She casts and shoots it out, so it has no control over her. Si looses herself of the transgression because she knows that there is life in confession and she has the power to forsake sin. There is life in turning her back to a lifestyle of sin. Si leaves the transgression but she not only leaves , she leaves it safely. No strings attached, no residue of the past destruction. She leaves it in one piece. By leaving sin she moves toward wholeness, because she is whole in Christ. Si relinquishes the control it had over her, abandoning it for a greater choice. Si refuses that transgression. Both Aee and Si transgressed. Both were in rebellion. But it was their action that led to the two contrasting results. According to the Word, the Aees of the world will not prosper but the people like Si will obtain mercy. The truth is when we cover sin we cannot obtain mercy. God wants us to confess our sins so that He can cover us with His mercy and His love. By covering sin we are inadvertently saying “God I don’t need mercy”. But my love we all need mercy. God is willing and able to give that plus so much more to us. God makes it available to those who recognize their need for it. He has His arms open, ready to receive us. God wants us to be in His presence naked, unconcealed so that He may cover us. Some of us are yearning for a deeper intimacy with God but we have concealed sins creating a distance… God is kind because He convicts and corrects us privately but we have a responsibility to heed the conviction and correction privately. ‘ Clothe yourselves therefore, as God’s own chosen ones (His own picked representatives), [who are] purified and holy and well-beloved [by God Himself, by putting on behavior marked by] tenderhearted pity and mercy, kind feeling, a lowly opinion of yourselves, gentle ways, [and] patience [which is tireless and long-suffering, and has the power to endure whatever comes, with good temper].’ Colossians 3:12 AMP I am not sure why I’ve taken this path in sharing this scripture but WE CANNOT BE THE BRIDE OF CHRIST WITH UNCONFESSED AND UNFORSAKEN SINS IN OUR LIFE. I truly believe that God’s grace is sufficient to strengthen us to confess and gives

I am not sure why I’ve taken this path in sharing this scripture but WE CANNOT BE THE BRIDE OF CHRIST WITH UNCONFESSED AND UNFORSAKEN SINS IN OUR LIFE.

I truly believe that God’s grace is sufficient to strengthen us to confess and gives us the power to forsake sin. Repentance should be a daily practice for all of us who are children of God. Repentance that begins with evaluating ourselves according to the word of God. When we are convicted we are quick to seek forgiveness, turn away from the sin ( ask God for help, utilize the word, seek accountability) and TURN BACK TO GOD. I was always good with the other stuff but it was difficult for me to turn back to God.

Confession time… I’ve found that I struggle with this… I would commit a sin, and be convicted. I would repent but I would subconsciously push myself away from God. Even though I knew God forgave me I would feel disappointment because of my sin. I think that’s what prevents a lot of us from confessing and forsaking… shame… But I’ll tell you like I tell myself.. Nothing is hidden from God.. Yet His love towards you hasn’t changed.

One Sunday, I was in church and randomly I began thinking something negative about another young lady. I heard the Holy Spirit in that moment say “ that there is grave thinking”. He began to explain to me that when we walk/think in darkness we return to the grave. A place where we don’t belong. A place where we were separated from God. In that moment, God still loved me( His correction was sign of that), but my thinking was contrary to God’s word to love others and to think more highly of them than myself. I repented and have been practicing praying for her and declaring that she is loved by God.

‘The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. ‘ Romans 8:11-12 NLT

It’s not enough to ask for forgiveness and turn away from sin. We have to turn back to God. In His arms we won’t feel condemned or forgotten(some of the lies the enemy whispers in our ears when we sin).

When I first wrote down this scripture in my book I wrote “ He who covers his transgressions will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes his will obtain mercy”. When I re-read my notes, I thought I made a mistake, but I realized I didn’t. I looked up sin in Hebrew and it means rebellion. Rebellion in essence is choosing your will over anything else. The mindset is “ I don’t care what they say, THIS IS WHAT I WANT, so that’s what I am going to do”. When we sin/transgress we are in rebellion to God’s will and in obedience to our own.

I mentioned earlier that Adam and Eve were naked the entire time in the Garden but they didn’t feel shame about it until after they sinned. In the Garden there was no shame, because Adam and Eve were covered by God. After sin they gave up that covering. In Genesis 3: 21 AMP The Lord God made tunics of [animal] skins for Adam and his wife and clothed them. This is the first time blood is shed in the garden. God shed the blood of the animal to make covering for Adam and Eve to cloth them. Doesn’t this sound like foreshadowing… The blood of Jesus was shed so that we may be clothed in Jesus Christ Himself! Covered in and by Him.

Galatians 3: 27 AMPC states For as many [of you] as were baptized into Christ [into a spiritual union and communion with Christ, the Anointed One, the Messiah] have put on (clothed yourselves with) Christ.

The only thing we should be clothed with is Jesus. This type of covering does not hide us, make us passive or cause us to walk in sin.

Romans 13: 14 AMPC But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and make no provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires (lusts).

If we are like Aee and cloth ourselves in our sins, how can we be clothed in Jesus? The blood of Jesus wasn’t shed so we can cling to the comforts of sin. It was shed to create a relationship where we can be naked before God without shame, because we know that when we CONFESS and FORSAKE we are forgiven. There’s no need to hide because Jesus has us covered. The blood of Jesus was shed so that we would no longer live according to the desires of our flesh.

I say this in the most genuine way I know how: I have been asking God to change my outlook on sin. To help me to hate sin the way He does. After reading this I felt some internal pressure about whether or not I should post it. To some it might seem harsh, but it is the Word. We have to see sin the same way God does. SIN IS SIN and He hates it. He hates lying, cursing, engaging in homosexuality, gossip, murder, rape, unforgiveness, bitterness, malice, fornicate, commit adultery, steal, hating people, using our words/thoughts to tear each other down, etc( these are just examples-we tend to put degrees on the types of sins-but all sin when not confessed, forgiven and forsaken leads to death). He hates sin because of what it does to our relationship with Him. When we make a mistake and sin and we repent, He forgives us and gives us opportunity to stand firm when temptations come against us. The temptation is not sin, but when we yield to the temptation we have yielded to satan. God empowers us with His Word, His Spirit, His power so that we can stand in the evil days. So that we may never compromise, so that we will know that He does indeed love us. He loves all of us, but the question is who amongst us loves Him back? We have to respond to God’s love. It’s not okay to say “ God loves me, so I can keep on sinning”… God’s love should motivate us to say “ God I know you love me, help me to respond to your love through obedience, by getting to know you better, by talking to you. and listening to you”. All of things we do, pray, worship, read, study, love othersm fellowship, give, and serve is a response to God’s love. Not to earn it but a way of saying ‘ I love you too God, thank you.” At church on Sunday, one of our worship Pastors said God is after the worshipper not the worship. God desires a people that CHOOSES Him. A people that makes a decision to serve Him and does it faithfully. How can we say we are children of God if we are riddled by sin or captive to it. Yes, no one is perfect. Yes, we all fall short. But remember it’s what happens next that determines whether you will obtain mercy or not prosper. God is light, what communion can light have with darkness? How can God cover us with Himself if we are already covered by darkness. This is a message to those of us who profess to be children of God. The world is full of sin but we are to be full of light! I pray we take some time and truly ask God “ what am I covered by? and where have I allowed sin to rest in my life?

If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].’1 John 1:9

Hello everyone!! I hope the month of September has been treating you well! If it hasn’t I’m sure God is with you giving you strength and grace to get through it. I have to address my recent absence on the blog. I don’t really have an answer but all I can say is that the Lord is working in my heart and giving me a different direction for the blog. I’m beginning to understand that the Body of Christ is in need of desperate preparation before we become the Bride of Christ. Preparation that I believe is lacking or being ignored in some churches. I’ve always believed that one of my purposes given to me by God, Our Father, is to edify the body. As we approach this time and season it’s time for me to utilize that purpose and help to prepare us( myself) included for the wedding day. So I write all this to say that my blog will change its focus a little. I am not sure how exactly, but I felt the need to say this openly. I’ve been struggling because I felt like I neglected the blog but I realize that God wants to take it into a different direction. I am honestly unsure of my readiness. But I am willing to be obedient, willing to step out and say and do what He’s asked me to. So to everyone that has followed, commented, shared or liked thank you!!! I’ll have a new entry soon. I’m excited and nervous about this new direction.Yet, I know God is directing me so I’m going to rest, trust and rely on Him! I pray that anyone who may feel like God is redirecting your steps that you too will lean in, rely on and trust in Him. He’s watching your every step and if you slide His hand is right there to catch you! With the love of Jesus!
